Endlich Karren mit richtigen Kurven!

Mercedes Benz - Traumfabrik

Do you think your parents get that joke?

Wikifriends

Note xkcd’s title attribute of the image: “It’s crazy how much my gut opinion of a movie/song is swayed by what other people say, regardless of how I felt coming out of the theater.”

Hi, my name is FBI.

Recently, a friend of mine booked a flight to the United States. A few days later the FBI showed up in his logs:

FBI in the logs

Any explainations for this besides the standard paranoia-pattern?

Oh well: “Just Because I’m Not Paranoid Doesn’t Mean They’re Not Out to Get Me!”

BagHack — Blue is the New Black

When releasing the BagHack more than a year ago I did expect to get some response. But it turned out to be way more popular than I thought it is.

People in the US, the UK, Sweden, the Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland, Spain and Germany are now proud owners of a small blue bag with lots of style. (Did I forget anyone?)

Greg from daddytypes.com postet an extended tutorial how it is build, including a set of images that explain the process in more detail. He uses it as a bag for diapers :-)

IKEABagHack (final funk-station.com remix)

The non-DYIers among you still have the chance to join the circle of blue coolness by ordering one of the remaining originals.

Yiiiiha!

Last week I attended next07. The night before I was at a concert of Hayseed Dixie. Guess what! The party was completely spoiled because no one at next07 was able rock as hard as John, Don, Dale, and Jake. — Hi, my name is Bas, and I’m a bluegrass addict.

10 & zero

Just found a classic which I think is worth watching a few (maybe 10?) times: “Powers of Ten”… and the effect of adding another zero.

Google video, youtube.com… who cares. Same thing. — “Eventually, everything connects.” (Charles Eames, powersof10.com)

Soap Device

Why is Microsoft publishing ideas as Quicktime movies? Are they using Macs for their creative work? — Using a machine running Windows you can’t invent smart input devices like the Soap.

Taming evil GMail et al.

Everybody who’s seriously using GMail (although I said it’s evil) has now the chance to gain back some privacy: Freenigma enables every user to encrypt e-mails that are sent with Google Mail, Yahoo! Mail and Hotmail and others.
It’s based on open source technologies and comes as an easy-to-install Firefox extension.
Can’t wait to get my test account!
